My name is Dr. Jason Thompson, and I’m an assistant professor at the University of Wyoming. Together with my collaborator Aaron Galloway-Perrell we’ve recently created dighumanities.org, a blog hosting web space devoted to the Digital Humanities, which is to say the exploration of what happens when people from different disciplines encounter computer culture in their teaching, reading, writing, research, and invention. Our software is WordPress MU, and we’ve incorporated BuddyPress to add a layer of social networking to our site in the hopes of generating a larger conversation both inside our own disciplines and outside of them as well, and we invite you to begin your own blog and read others.

Welcome to Digital Humanities.
